Brazil Return to Top, As Nigeria Move Up in the Latest FIFA World Ranking

Brazil capped off a fine fortnight of football as they moved to the top of the World Ranking, reclaiming their seat at the top of the podium after a seven-year hiatus.

However, recent wins over Uruguay and Paraguay in booking their place at Russia 2018 secured their return to top spot.

Nigeria on the other hand, moved up to the 40th position after a draw in an International friendly with Senegal.

Before then, Nigeria won their two FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zambia and Algeria respectively. And with the way Super Eagles are building up in their run for the African nations cup and world cup qualifiers in June and August, it may not be long before they also re-claim Africa's number one position in the ranking.

Super Eagles Afcon qualifiers in June and the two way World Cup qualifiers against Afcon champions, Cameroon, in August and September, will determine Nigeria's place in the FIFA/Coca Cola world Ranking come October 2017.
